  After Hours

The return of the vehicles must be within the office hours. after hours is not allowed.

  Age

The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years, maximum age 75 years.

  Business Hours

Office hours are Monday through Sunday from 07:00 to 22:00 on Sundays. The holidays in Mexico from 10:00 to 19:00.

  Cancellation

A credit card guarantee is required for each reservation. Although your credit card will not be charged at time of reservation customers who fail to cancel their reservation at least 24 hours prior to pick up of the reserved vehicle from the source that the reservation was originally booked, or fail to show up for their rental, will be subject to a one day rental charge.

  Drivers License

Renters must present a valid driver license at the time of rental. Foreign renters must present a valid driver license and a valid passport. Based on the date of the entry stamp, foreign renters will be allowed to rent a vehicle for a maximum of 90 days.

  Gas

Vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as rented to avoid a refueling service charge of $9.99 per gallon.

  Holiday

The office is open every day of the year, at designated times.

  Insurance

PLI liability provision is required by Mexican authorities at a cost of 12.95 USD. |br||br| PAI this coverage is for the medical expenses of the occupants in the event of an accident has a cost of 5 usd per day.|br||br| In all cases the customer must report the emergency numbers provided to you any incident or accident or the car these coverages remain invalidated in its entirety.In all the above coverages must pay taxes.|br||br| |b|INSURANCE COVERAGE APPLIES ONLY IN MEXICO

  One-Way

You can leave the rental vehicle in another city, you can request this service at the moment of the rental, and the cost of this service depends on the distance between the rental office and the drop off location.

  Payment

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Deposit: The amount of the rent plus a deposit, will be held in your card at the time of the rental, once the vehicle is returned this deposit will be released, we are not responsible for banking charges that may incur when using your card.

  Prepaid Reservations

If you have made a reservation you may pay on arrival however to make a reservation we will need a credit card to guarantee your vehicle. There may be an authorization on your Credit Card statement of USD$1.00 please be advised that a no show fee equivalent to a one day rental plus taxes with a minimum of USD$35.00 will be charged to the Credit Card. If vehicle is not pick up you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same website you made it, you cannot call or write to cancel you can cancel only through the website where the reservation was made at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. Prepaid reservations-if you have a prepaid reservation your Credit Card will be charged in full at the time you made your reservation. The Credit Card that you paid your reservation must be present at the time of pick up. Refund and cancellation policy-a prepaid reservation is a nonrefundable booking. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or credit. For customer satisfaction Economy will apply a refund for any of the reasons below-after verification- -flight cancelled and customer could not get to the rental location-natural disaster prevented travel- Illness prevented travel-death in family prevented travel-jury duty prevented travel-Economy was unable to fulfill the customer reservation (example no vehicle available) - Any action due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please be advised that there may be a charge of up to USD$150.00 handling fee for canceling. If customer chooses to change the date of their reservation the handling fee will be waived but may be subject to a rate adjustment. For date change please contact 1 877 326 7368. To process a refund or if you have any problems with your reservation please email customercare@economyrentacar.com.

  Reservation hold time

Vehicles are held for two hours after reserved arrival time. When flight details are provided, we will hold vehicle for up to two hours after flight arrival. In the event of delays, you may call or e-mail us to advise of any changes in your pick up time. After the two hour window, you will be considered a no-show and we may or may not be able to honor your reservation, depending upon availability.

  Shuttle

Thank you for choosing ECONOMY RENT A CAR represented by GRUEM CAR RENTAL, after collecting your luggage go through customs and security, please refer to the exit door, right in front you will find the office ECONOMY RENT A CAR, where gladly we will be gladly waiting to deliver your car.

  CDW

CDW - CDW is a coverage that reduces the customer payment responsibility in case of total or partial damages to the rented vehicle and it will applied when the amount of the damages are higher than the collision deductible in the rental agreement. In case of damages when the repairs total are less that the collision deductible or damages due to negligence we will charge the entire amount of the repairs, according with the quote made by the vehicle agency. We do have 2 different cdw levels that are optional when making a reservation. CDW 1 it is $15 USD per day and CDW 2 it is $25 USD per day. In customer whishes to decline CDW coverage, so customer will be responsible for the entire cost of the vehicle

  KEYLESS_POLICIES

When you arrive at the rental office: • There is no need to go to the counter or kiosk. • Prepare to show the gate agent your reservation in the Skip The Counter app, your driver is license, and your credit card. • At the start time of your reservation chosen in the app, you will be assigned a license plate number. You can find the vehicle in our parking lot. • The keys are in the vehicle. Unlock the doors with the app, drive to the exit gate, and enjoy the service. This optional service is offered at certain offices. Please check if your office offers this service.
